I hope he wasn’t driving after the party is what I’d be more worried about.

I’ve replied and deleted and amended several times and decided the best reply is just a pointless post so here it is.

Get rid or the tories bring back Jeremy and Hailfrank. Free freddos and Percy pigs for all.

i thought I had and the answer is quite clear and I really don’t think it’s appropriate or needed to qualify any past replies that have been made or implied on the matter. I think it’s time to move on

Say he gets the boot or stands down. What difference, other than "image" does the team think it will make to Tory party policy and government.
For the record my view would be "none" as he doesn't personally make it up himself. That being the case, does it really matter one jot who the figurehead is?
The only positive would be to remove some of the creative distraction and who knows? maybe even air some of the the stuff the government are doing that actually affects the electorate instead, though that's a long shot hope as they'll always think of/leak some tittle tattle for the press and public to be up in arms about.

  8. I’ve always imagined that the PM sets the tone of the place. In comes a new PM. The first thing the civil servants/hangers on will do is see what they can get away with.

if he looks like he doesn’t give a f@@k then I’m sure that attitude filters down. If he/she/it seems like they aren’t gonna take any nonsense then I’d imagine they run a tighter ship.

I should add that 100% of my knowledge of government comes from Yes Minister.

  9. We’ve all worked on sites/in offices where the mood can change when the boss is in, unless that boss is more laid back than the staff

  10. Whether he handled it badly or not, isn’t really the point. The point is, he’s had a lot more to contend with than any other prime minister has for a long time.

I think you really ought to consider the alternatives before you bash Boris too much. Sure, he's an arrogant ***** but could anyone else have done better?

If it's any consolation, one of our good friends died the other day and her funeral is next week. However, we don't intend to go into mourning the night before. Why the hell should we and why should Boris? Life goes on ffs.
