mountain bike... Another question is if there is a trick to getting the end plate back on that screws over the adjustment screw... I'm having trouble checking if its seated correctly..
I think it helps if you wind out the adjustment screw to pull the output shaft into the cover plate. Anticlockwise, unscrew and the head pulls on the shaft.
ok thanks looks like I was turning it a bit too far and pulling the whole shaft slightly out of the housing ... Would the torque setting be same as the 4 bolt flange ?
M6x1mm thread.. . less than a big torque wrench goes down to. I think its defined by holding the handle of a socket driver handle gripping the extension bar with your fingers and twisting your wrist. 7 lbft max seems to be what VW suggest for M6 bolts.
