Most of the van has had 3 good primer sessions, but as its been well blocked back each time, its not too heavy!

  3. Looking good mate:thumbsup:, your getting there. I'm tempted to get some parts chromed:thinking:.

Sorry to hear about you windscreen. Saw a nice blue top tinted screen at £90 incl VAT on the Gavaddy Automotive Glass stand at Brighton Breeze ( Made by Pilkington in Brazil ). Seems like a good price for a tinted screen.

Sounds a good price for tinted, I've got another screen now from Danbury for £65 - its brand new 2nd hand, in that it was fitted to a Brazil bay, shipped here and then swapped out for a heated screen when Danbury do their conversion.

    Fill, Sand, Prime, Repeat...

Thats about the gist of what's been happening here!

Not much to update on despite putting some good hours in.

Roof has all been reassembled after getting the support bars back from the chromers.

Bumper steps have been sandblasted, repaired where necessary and mastic primed/2k'd.

Nearly ready for paint, just the sliding door to flat back and reprime, then its onto wet flatting for a day, and then start painting :chewie: (think I've said this before!)

Not much to update, as just been prepping for paint, dropped the sliding door on its lower corner after thinking the bottom roller had located when refitting - it had'nt, so now need to re-repair that.

Track covers and bumpers all ready, still need to go round the whole van flatting with 600, and also just the front grille to prep now. Booked to be painted between Christmas and New Year....hopefully.

Then this afternoon I totted up how much the van/resto has cost me soo far, and it was about spot on the figure I had in my head!

2 months since the last update, a lot of tedious hours have been put in, but today it finally got some paint! Had a friend put the paint on, as he's a better painter, I just got in the way - taking photo's!

Hopefully next week, it will be wearing some blue on the bottom.

A lot of prep went into trying to keep it as clean as possible, new filters for the booth, floor was wetted the day before, panels degreased about 3 times, tack clothed all over about 4 times.

There's not been any photos for a while - so here's a fair few...

    Thanks Para,

The paint bomb was me knocking 1/2 litre of mixed paint off the shelf onto floor, luckily it stayed on the floor, my boots and legs, rather than go up the painted doors that were nearby!
