Who buys A new car every few years?

I have only ever bought one a vw golf in 98

 

Touareg in 04 and a Q7 in 07, never again tho.

 

It's a little old bloke habit isn't it?

Often something atrocious like a small Kia or Hyundai driven at 10mh below the speed limit in rush hour.

Terrible way to grow old.

I've tried to buy a new car and a new motorbike but walked out on both occasions cause of the smarmy way the sales person spoke to me . Juggling figures to make me feel like he is reducing the cost when quite the opposite was reality.

Never, I have a 68 bug that’s my daily driver and my 73 bay that will be my weekend/holiday drive

 

Why buy a new car that loses 2-3k when you drive off the forecourt ??

 

have done for many years - travelling to work involved a good 40 miles and alternative public transport was none existent

You often see new cars sold at Peterborough auctions, they're usually cancelled orders where the car has been registered. A few I've seen recently are a BMW X1 with 81 miles and a list price of £34k SOLD FOR £23.5k. a BMW 530 with 21 miles list price £38K sold for £25k

They have a lot of Nissan Jukes ans Quashthings brand new sold at a 40% discount.

Theirs a guy in our village who owns a big body shop place he has a new Merc estate every 6 months when the new reg comes out

 

Probably on lease, as are about 85% of car 'sales' nowadays.

 

Bought a freelander new in 2003. Bought a Citroen Dispatch new in about 2005. Never again. Both awful. Sold the landy after two years. Thankfully a bus wrote off the dispatch. Only bought the Citroen cos the wait for a Ford was too long. Shodda waited.

Commercial yeah. I’ve had an escort, a couple of transits, the Citroen and a Vito for a short while. Transits the best ones I’ve had. Never had a t5 cos I won’t give vw stupid money for a basic spec. Might get a new shape vivaro next for a change. But I will hire one first and if I don’t like how it drives it will be another transit.

 

I bought a new Honda once it was ... fab-u-lous
