  2. Dockers had it particularly bad
Unloading and loading sacks of asbestos in the holds of ships
Taking fibres home on their clothes and then contaminating their wives and children.

  3. But even in the mid 1980's doing a City and Guilds electrician apprenticeship, there was a focus on identifying asbestos types and awareness for when we were back in work, but then there was very little provision of PPE, just basic goggles and masks. Industry itself was still focused on prevention of high speed ingestion and eye damage from drilling and disc cutting.

I can remember only one lecturer at college actually stating that all fibres, dust and fumes are harmful, or in his words "none of them are good for you". It's bloody obvious now, but it wasn't back then.

What’s the present health n safety guidelines on MDF. That stuff must be dangerous?

Very true, everything coming off a disc is harmful . A wet sandstone quarry is a safe quarry ..but most are geared up now .But some ignore the safety gear even now .

I think I’m proving I write a lot day to day and you don’t.

Im not saying therefore what I write is anyway superior, but it is scrutinised a lot by smarter people than me, so I’m used to people asking for clarifications and responding.

Consequently I scrutinise other peoples work.

Regarding the question you apparently repeated….I’ve answered it, 320,000 people do stay in France. I don’t know what more I can add.

These days its not just directly having a go..I can temember this from training ..

    Wikipedia summarising British law.:

"The Police and CPS have formulated a definition of hate crimes and hate incidents, with hate speech forming a subset of these. Something is a hate incident if the victim or anyone else think it was motivated by hostility or prejudice based on: disability, race, religion, gender identity or sexual orientation. A hate incident becomes a hate crime if it crosses the boundary of criminality.[7]"
