Spent Sunday morning cleaning idle jet out then decided OG fuel pump might be seeping a bit of petrol. Just odd drip while running .. So swapped it with my previously 100% working non leaky aftermarket pump.
Which yellow snowed petrol all round the crimp where the top and bottom halves join .Now lobbed in the bin.

    New pump on order.

Popped majors rear right hand window out to inspect the lip. Surface rust but no rot, which is pleasing :)

Bet your glad that was OK Mark ...it's a pain in the arse if it 's rotten there

  4. Removed Rock and roll bed so could take rear panel cards off to take out last remaining rockwool insulation. Fitted sound deadening and kingspan insulation so now whole of bus in done. Also removed flooring and ply then cleaned. Waiting for fire resistant sound deadening for floor and will refit 3mm ply.

  12. Got up at 3am last night to move the van down the drive, as it was blowing the proverbial gale. Forgot I'd installed an alarm. Again.

Are the neighbours talking to you yet?

  14. They're used to it now. It's normally the engine lid that catches me out :(

Been really busy at work since Christmas but finally got the engine running and got the crewie moving under its own steam today.:chewie:

First time I’ve driven it since purchase last July.

Can’t tell you how chuffed I am.

Gearbox seems nice. Good clutch feel. Steering box feels good. speedo works. All positive things I’ve just had my fingers crossed for.

Hopefully be ready for an MoT next week.

Need to find a sympathetic MoT
    tester.

Now booked for MoT 9 o’clock tomorrow (Thursday) morning.

Not sure if I’ve done the right thing but the nearest test centre is part of a Kia dealership about a mile from me.

Thought this was best bet as I have no number plates and don’t want any grief from the local cops.

The garage doesn’t get much classic stuff but I’m told they’re fair.

Collective Late Bay members finger crossing please.

  19. Isn't "no number plate" a mot failure?

    Finger crossed though.

it's a fail if they're incorrectly displayed nevermind not being there....
