  1. If you called JK, they'd say it's the first time they'd ever heard of it.

  2. Don’t suppose you have any more photos you could PM me on how you did this and what you used. The heating system on mine is missing and had some custom stuff on it which I have taken off. Heat 3xchanges are there as is all the front parts. So long pipe is missing (which I can easily replace) but can’t really do Y piece as don’t want to take floor out. Yours looks ideal if it worked for a few years

Any notes / pictures etc appreciated. Cheers.

  3. will check out what I have exactly but basics are Hxs and flexi tubes, then 2 x 60mm flexi rubber ducts (originally used pvc but they started to melt with tight bends) this goes onto 80mm stainless flue duct Y piece that fixes to 80mm stainless pipe which slides through chassis into front diverter.

only fitted concertinas last week as by passed to Hx originally but was really noisy then.
got all our stainless bits from industrial boiler bits at work foc. Will take pics when can.

The rear hatch on my camper has leaked all the time I’ve owned it and despite fitting 2 seals previously I couldn’t work out why it still leaked that was until I spoke to a mate about it and he informed me that early bays have a square corner seal, I purchased one and fitted it today and eureka it’s as water tight as a ducks how’s your father

Decided to patch up the paint on the front bumper and a few other loose bits of paint I managed to flick off using a pressure washer.

Bought some cheap "waterproof" sandpaper fron a local car spares place. Turned straight into gritty slush when dipped in water. Aftee I had deliberately avoided Halfords to give the local guys some of my money. Come on M.A.S. Spares you can do better.

The one piece of Halfords 320 grade paper I had left was better at removing paint than the cheap 80 grade.. it lasted longer and cut deeper because the abrasive was properly glued to the paper and the paper did not go soggy...

Then fired up the compressor I bought at Dubfreeze for a bit longer than the first time I fired it up when all I did was run it up to 40 psi... Found a leaking joint on the air exhaust where an elbow goes into the compressor cylinder head. So I tried to loosen it in order to have a look ... and again the elbow sheared off as it was brass plated die cast metal.
A quick chew with mole grips and it came out. Now need to buy a replacement 3/8 NPT to 1/4 compressuon fitting.

Wondered why it wouldn't start. Just turned over and over; not a hint of starting.
Worried that maybe the trolls were right, and wondered if I should have stayed air cooled.
Then I remembered the immobiliser and it started straight away.
    Happy days!

Got him out of bed to jumpstart my mums car after I’d somehow run the battery flat while changing a door mirror and washing and hoovering it for her - My car was at her place.
Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around, jumpstarting a bus from another car?

I didn’t do anything to it today as it is currently residing in Ringwood awaiting a bit of welding. Nothing much, just little bits that I don’t want to turn into big bits.... so hopefully today Alex will have made a start.
In the week I removed floor mats, kick panels, and the door cards that took me so long to get the clips in place and that I really hoped I would never have to remove again *sigh*. But the plastic bin liner membrane seems to have worked a treat as not even the smallest water mark on the back of the cards. Woo hoo.

  15. You got Alex to do your welding. You must have hidden depths. I have only ever had plumbing advice and ridiculous comments about the superiority of Manchester United.

  16. Well havent been on in sometime as the bus has been mothballed and I have been dismantling hondas in my man-cave......much nicer than going out in a cold garage!

However MOT friday and failed for front beams being too high....(what a load of nonsense ) and a binding rear bake- and to think i was most worried about the holes in the exhaust. Will take a look this afternoon so ready for a free retest tomorrow.

A few more weeks until tax and MOT free status is in the bag.

But before that looking forward to techenders.....

  17. Looked at it in an accusing manner. Still piddling down his mudflap .

MOT in a couple of weeks, so I suppose I'd better wash it, and brush the cobwebs from underneath.

  18. Spent all of 30seconds being amused at the cover blowing around on the bus and felt the urge to tighten the straps but didn’t really want to get my hands dirty

  19. Spent 30 mins or so unsuccessfully trying to coax Filmore back to life after a month at the in laws. Result, a flat battery because my lipo jump pack refused to work. It kept showing green light, then turned red while cranking. Eventually it's built-in alarm went off. I read the manual and still have no idea what the problem is. It was fully charged. Any ideas?

Fitted a new starter motor to the T4. Packed in on me at 4 am this morning in minus 7 cold, then I have spent the day in minus 2 fitting a new one. Jeez, why does it always happen in the worst weather. Still thawing myself out here. :(
