  1. The roof panel or the top box?

  2. Mine’ll be carpeted, so I’ll only get light concussion...

Ooh. Hoping to do similar. Would love to see pics of how you attach it to the bus ..... if you please, kind Sir.

  6. I’ll post pics when I do a trial fit. It hangs at the front from metal brackets hooked over the roof pressing. The rear’s attached with self tappers to the top of the tailgate frame.

To be honest I haven't looked at where to fix it to as it's a fair way down my job list at the mo. Any pics would be really helpful. No rush

  10. On a later Devon roof, the roof board is 78” x 42 1/2”.

Tin top. I might redo the headliner but have decided yet.

  12. Here's a pic of the Devon hangers. Unlikely to suit a tintop.

If you're redoing the headliner (tricky), Woolies Trim sell white perforated headliner almost the same as the stuff VW used.

    Thank you for the pic.
I just need to have a look and see what there is to hang on to really. Yes Woollies is just down the road - fascinating place to go to.

  14. Changed the front shocks for nice yellow lowered Spax. The old ones had very little resistance left in compression, so hoping for a smoother, less bouncy, drive.

Topped up the rust proofing while I was under there :)

  17. No, I’ve got a cheapy Screwfix one that disassembles itself. Hate routers.

Unfortunately there are not many cheap good tools around. Unless you're buying off the thieving sods that have nicked mine over the years

  19. I rarely use one, so it was worth a punt. Does the job, sort of. If anyone in the trades used it, it would fall to pieces after a week...
