I think The missing bit is the same as a beetle

  3. Would look good with a picture of the Green Lady above it.

@volkswombat - is that really all you get?

They must have sent the wrong part as it bares no resemblance to the picture they show on their website?

Was it the VWH one or the Kingfisher one you went for? Either way, as Baysearcher says, that's not as advertised is it?

  6. It's the kingfisher one. fibreglass.

No I didn't enlarge the pic, I just saw the title of full tinware set, scanned the blurb and ordered.
If you really read it, it suggests something odd ( that you still need your tinware) but it's far from clear.
Waste of *****ing time and money though, it's absolutely no use unless you then buy another real tin to hack up and use the missing bit.

Dis you go for both bits for £145? The missing bit isn't very expensive?

  11. Yes I'm sending it back, it's useless.
Yes £145 for front and rear tins,.
Where can you buy the missing part then?

  13. Looks slightly different to me?

Apart from that, shouldn't have to though. should you

What's the point of going to all the trouble of making the blkoody thing but leaving half off?

New saucepan sir? Certainly, but you'll have to sort out your own handle

It's hopeless really, I do agree.
Not like you can spot weld on the missing bit even, if I was steel you could.

You have to do something similar with prototype bay tin over the gearbox, buy a beetle one plus an extra bit from a chap on earlybay and weld them together.

You would think that being fibreglass they'd have made the whole thing...

  17. Made the easy part lol
