All cars will become classics , as all will become rare because they get broken up in the yards really quick now .
It's not long before they stripped bare and crushed .
They don't lie about for ages like they used to .

This was my second one. My first was black :). I had one of my dads ( I have a habit of that :) ), he said they cornered like they were on rails. This was true, tho I nearly ditched mine at first after years of owning capris and going into corners expecting the car to drift sideways (unintentionally)

  4. early Audi TT's would be my guess, they were quite conceptual when they first appeared....but then so was the ford KA

Changing from rear to front wheel drive caught lots of people out back then

Were they also strange when they first bought them from new ? if so there was alot of strange people around in the seventies ...i think i might of been a bit strange .
But i did buy the marina for the 1700 for a fit in a moggy .

  7. The Ford Ka will be a classic because Ford scene tax and because there'll only be about a dozen that survive. I can't think of anything from the same era that rusts faster.

  8. And the Audi 100 C3

Yes, even more so because there were much better cars available even then, they were hugely responsible for the demise of BL and the British car industry at the time.

  10. Hopefully, one of these. And no, that's not me driving !!

I always fancied one of these (and still do). I did have a non 4x4 one in Spain for a bit - badged as a seat Marbella, it was fab.

    T5`s really aren`t the future ...

    :hattip:

  15. Make sure you get all the original tools. T25s came with a special shovel for picking your cylinder heads up off the road.

  18. If you want to stay with marques close to VW and make money - then invest in the forgotten Porches - the 924 (not the Carrera) and 944 - seems the front engine puts people off - but they are cheaper than the overhyped Capri at the moment and well below the £10k mark - (but not for long) - I'd buy one but no room in the garage unless I sell my MG.
