I must be in a very soft and a ‘my house isn’t bursting at the seams already’ mood, as I also rescued a pair of Bang and Olufsen speakers, which is necessitating rearranging the dining room and disturbing the cosy lifestyle of quite a few spiders.
Ha ha ha, but nooooo! I’ve already had a good haul of stone statues and plant pots from the garden yesterday, not to mention photographs, books, records, and god knows what else over the past few months, there’s no more room in my house!!!! I am going to turn into one of those old ladies who gets found one day when the milkman reports a funny smell and lots of flies, squashed under a mountain of old newspapers that I will have faithfully wrapped in plastic bags and piled up around every available inch of space in the house. I’m just a couple of cats short of this becoming a plausible reality!
A 1950s Regentone - a 'multi 99' I think, with the record player. A few quid at a car boot sale many years ago. It needs a bit of TLC as the valve pots are quite dirty, and the record player has issues - it's on my list to fix when I get time. It still gets Radio 4 LW Mmmmm, there's a kingsize mattress going begging which is probably better than mine....
Don’t joke - it may happen. I’m sure your TLB chums would be willing to come round and scrape you off the carpet with a shovel, though
Great. Thanks. On the plus side, I don’t have carpet, so it might be a bit easier. I’d still bring a shovel though, just in case
sounds like hard work... i'd probably manage to step over your remains for the speakers, music collection and a new hoover though
no worries, i'd do the same for carla too....you should see her collection of vintage clothes, and they fit me!!
slipped it in her tea earlier... would've had a garden planter too if it wasn't for those pesky kids!
