It’s not checked for the MoT.

Me too, I'd hate to negotiate supermarket car parking without them.

Me too, but you don’t have to wait for the MoT to check that they work.

  5. I believe reverse lights were an optional extra
Mine never had them and a lot of busses I’ve seen over the years haven’t had them either.

I’ve got some original bulb holders for my light housings so just a switch to get and some wiring.

  6. That’s the thing nowadays people expect to see them.

My point is that they are not required for the MoT but if you have them, they should work, if you don’t have them, you should fit them (IMO).

  11. this is the cut out i made for utilitising a 6rib box and rjes bellhousing.

hopefully this will help anyone in the future who decides a conversion on the drive is a great idea [IMG]

Yes, they'll see you cut out quite a lot more on the left than strictly necessary Mr Sam!
How do you know the box will sit that high?

  13. i certainly did, i appreciate the symmetry of it.

there's no set guidebook on this and no one has to follow how I've accomplished my work

Is the cut out a 6 rib thing? I didn’t have to cut anything on a 3 rib.

  17. i got the engine bar in place, did a whole load of measuring and the engine would hit the floor if kept due to the angle.

after some reading and consultation its apparent to cut these, even more so when i go subaru gears when i have more time/funds.

so either way, i have gearbox clearance, starting motor clearance.

You do realise that's the only thing we'll want to see when you've finished. Stuff the neat plumbing and trick electrics, show us your bodge :Dx
