Well certainly made me look. Cracks starting to appear between treads. Nowhere else. Guess they could do with swapping!

When I looked for the date marker on my camper tyres a couple of years back, it predated the current ones, meaning my tyres were pre- 2000 . I promptly got 5 new ones put on

 

Well thats just saved me some cash!

 

Same year but slightly newer than mine, which are 1008 3rd - 9th March 2008.

 

Are mine ok?

 

Mileage dodge is easy, just disconnect Speedo cable.
This sort of personal justification from the law really gets on my bits. See an offence and take due action is fair enough. But such like spraff, expressing their own personal views is uncalled, unasked and ruddy unhelpful.

When I got my van in 09 the tyres predated 2000. Broke me heart when Mr Mot man said you've got an advisory on them, get em sorted. All that vintage rubber wasted.... after 3 years of my milege on em.

 

Yeah, thought as much. They've been on Glenda since I've had her, and we've been everywhere together! As she's off the road I'll get some new ones. Also noticed there 195 14c, so will go for 185 14c as God intended.

Yes let's go back to the Dixon Of Dock Green days with a cape and handlebar moustache armed with just a tin whistle. That will sort the cads out at the local bar fight or shooting incident after all the pigs don't need protection. A dead cop won't have any ego.
Me thinks its a bit of a silly comment really about the stormtrooper look and too much ego. The home office decide the uniform specs not the individual.
