  1. Started replacing the breathers on Tilly, thought I would do them first before replacing the Fuel Hoses. Also going to replace this vacuum pipe to the RH Carb.

I also Found this breather never noticed it before as it is hidden by the Diagnostic Socket.

  2. A Heater Cable Tube question:

Do the plastic ends just pop the tube out the way (pop it back in place) at the brackets near the Heat Exchangers?

I can’t clean up & paint the brackets as it is, but don’t want to force & bend anything.
    Thanks.

Yes and inside are more plastic bits that hold the outer flexi bit in place. Best not to repeatedly bend the steel conduit and keep it to a minimum, just enough to remove the plastic bit.

  4. Great. Many thanks.
Given the state it was all in I actually feel lucky to have salvageable tubes & brackets. Cables move freely inside them too.
    I’ll be careful.

Refitted the batten at the bottom of the door opening for the cupboard/coolbox under the sink.
The original mild steel "corners" that held the batten to the floor and the sides of the unit had rusted and thinned so every time you closed the door, the batten would catch on the door and rotate and jam it slightly open. Used some stainless steel L brackets off eBay.. 20211117_072404.jpg

  7. Removed most fuel pipes and most drained fuel tank using the pipe clamp to regulate flow to petrol cans.
Noticed one can had a small split so had to pause drain too dark.
    Removed all screws from firewall.
Can anyone advise if there are any firewall screws to be accessed from underside please.

  10. Thanks for that, I remember taking the firewall out some years back for the same job, type 4 engine, it is tight but can be done.

  12. I have prepared it in readiness for a trip out tomorrow evening.
In the spirit of hygge, we will be parking up by the side of the river. where we will sit around a Swedish torch consuming mild alcoholical drinkies.
Then we will return home and get properly merry in front of the blazing fire in my study.

Went to see if Gusbus would start earlier as he’s been stored in the back garage since April.

    Nope, flat as.

Battery charger on for ten minutes and away we went! Sat ticking over merrily.

Tomorrow I plan to swap buses around and fettle a bit on them both, at some point Majors fuel pump needs swapping for a new one, Gusbus needs a service and prepped for an mot / listing for sale.

Could it be that I didn't chamfer the new brake shoes I put in?
