I remember now, the discussion whether it’s a head gasket or a spacer. I think you ended up with a 7.7:1 CR and a 1.12mm deck, but the heads have a step so the real deck (piston to squish area) is about 2mm. Thanks for the link, I reread most of the whole thread , and I'm still none the wiser,

 

Nor am I, it doesn’t explain the high cranking compression or the high temperature, although the 2mm deck might be the cause of running hot.

Downloaded some new firmware into the dashboard multifunction display. So that it uses a Bluetooth module status wire to block trying to send data over Bluetooth unless its connected.
So now it streams a summary of engine sensor data and GPS position fixes over Bluetooth.

So a datalogger can be connected.

Before, the fact that data was being streamed all the time upset Windows and it would connect maybe 5% of the time.
