I think I needed that new thermostat.. one had hex nut soldered ( lead free solder you know ) to it after a trimming shorter, because the tapped thread had worn away totally 20220828_085829.jpg
The notch I think was where it vibrated against the bracket.

I poured water from the kettle over the new one and it definitely expanded fast.

I expect @snotty's to be genuine aviation grade ones.

I have some I bought for about £25 a pair , in B&Q, that cut well and survived until I sheared the pivot bolt. One grade 12.9 bolt off eBay later, back in working order.

Trying to cut 1.6mm stainless steel is too much ..

For a larf I bought some from the Middle of Lidl for a few quid and they bend all over the place, so cutting with those needs hammering back into shape..

  14. After recovering from my operation in June and Covid in July - I managed to take the bus for its first outing of the year -not camping I'm afraid but to Capesthorne Classic Car Show near Macclesfield in Cheshire - and my MG Club friends let me park up with them - 85 mile round trip and ran smoothly all the way.

Sat down at FreeCAD this afternoon and designed and 3d printed these in TPU (polyurethane).. they are designed for 12mm diameter hole about 4mm thick panel.
But thats just a couple of numbers typed into the CAD.

I’ve been on and off with this since February and had to call in professional help a couple of times, but..

    drum roll please..

the new crewcab load bed and rear bulkhead are finally on :)

Need to do some cosmetic work now and think about reinstating the petrol tank and drop gates.
