    Finished 420 miles of driving back home now.

    I dont know what effect removing belly pans should have on CHT but no matter how hard I tried I could only get the casting to 126 degrees C.

    But also driving it as fast as possible on A roads : to the speed limit on level road, foot hard on floor on hills no problem with temperatures. Only hit 4750 rpm once, probably changing up at the top of a hill. All the rest of the time I try to keep below 4400-4500 rpm. Engine now 25k miles from rebuild.
