If you leave your helmet on the ground like that around here (and some riders do), you'll have an interesting few minutes when you start off again as the ants, mites and other creatures that have crawled in get stressed
Brum has a Emmissions Zone now - bloomin annoying as the main route to the M6 along the A38 from the south of the city is within it. Taking the Ring Road round is a faff and takes longer. The new van will be compliant.
Its ridiculous around brum, Seems to be confusing, We stayed in Aston last year, just on the edge of the zone, isn't one of the roads through exempt.? More "net zero" tax...?
Nope It was hoped that the A38 would be exempt as it the direct route to the A38 M Aston Expressway and onto the M6. Oh Well!
I cannot understand how even on here people are becoming acceptant of the charge coming in . How can one man have such power to impose such a deplorable scheme that will only be the start of the rot for the rest of the country . This needs fighting and stopping ,i dont want to sound over reacting but changes are being made by the few to so many that society as we know it is changing so much without any fight back that we are becoming simply money bags for the few . We are in fact becoming effectively a honey bee society .
I have several ideas on various levels I could share, but I wouldn't blame HF if he locked the thread afterwards.
We’re not mate. Lots of the cameras are having cables cut, being taken down etc and being disabled in some way. In other areas, the “planters” used are being demolished, folk are far from happy. that’s before we talk about discrimination as the poorer areas cannot afford e vehicles or compliant vehicles.
I am very much like Nigel Farage , open my gob upset the applecart and leave others to fight amongst themselves . I do however watch youtube quite alot , you know what thats like, watch one random video on a subject then your bombarded with loads of suggestions on the subject , this does prove however there does appear to be quite an uprising in small pockets of discontent around the country and a natural progressionmay mean there wont be a particular head honcho needed to suggest a particular course of action and things may uprise at some point not far off as in the butterfly effect .
I hope so, as we are a nation of tutters and shoulder shruggers. I’m so angry about it but don’t know what to do. I’ve complained by formal means but don't want to resort to random acts of damage. I want to know if there is an official group of protesters and protests planned and how to get involved so it’s a power heading in one direction.
Frustrating at it may seem 'we' are just seen as the idiots who pay the bill , no amount of direct action or civil unrest will upset the privileged few who seem determined on bringing misery to everyone trying to make an honest living . Saddest fact being this is only the beginning... Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
Whilst we moan about ULEZ and other levels of crapness that we tut over, our newly signed deal between the UK and CPTPP is also getting my goat over being screwed over. Even Trump didn't join this one and we have chosen to agree to lower standards (so watch out farmers, again) and accept that companies can take the UK to court if, for example we raise the minimum wage and it affects their forecasted profits and ....grrrrrr
Sound detecting cameras next to combat noise pollution and apparently there’s a piece of kit now that they say can detect the emissions of single vehicles as they pass by.
We have people banging on about our town centre should be vehicle free. It may as well, as most of the shops and banks have moved or closed down. All we have is a Boots, Subway,Christ knows how many hairdressers, coffee shops a music shop, a ‘hardware’ shop and a supermarket and Iceland. We have about 4 pubs left…and the people banging on about no vehicles come from…London…
