So , it depends on how it dies, either by incinerating us or if that fails then eventually we will freeze ?
I think it would blow up. But we will be long gone, millions of years before that. Again…you are thinking in calendar years…
All in all…I’m not worried about it. Or for our children, or children’s children, etc. It’s our governments that will make their lives hard for them, not nature…
Yep, digital monitoring, digital currency, digital fines and restrictions are all around the corner, glad im at the far end of my days and not 10..!
I remember watching 'Demolition Man' and laughing at they're 'futuristic' way of life but it now seems to be the way the world is going now.
Remember the film Waterworld with Kevin Costner? It was a flop. Why was it a flop? Because it showed the far end of what is happening now, and people were scared, so it was ‘dismissed’… Look at the floods we are experiencing now, because the ice caps are melting, which eventually causes more rain and higher sea levels.
Rising sea levels...the maritime knowledge centre suggests there are over 100,000 ships so what is the weight of a fully laden vessel or more so, what is the total gross laden weight of all ships being loaded, berthed or at sea? Secondly, how many fully loaded containers have been lost in storms and are on the ocean bed? Thirdly, there are shipwrecks out there. That said, all of the above factors will contribute to rising sea levels...global warming my .... more like clever bods who dont look past the paymaster and see things for real. I'll go with David Bellamy
The sea is getting more ferocious in storms, because there is more of it now. Levels are rising. You only have to look at our South Coast. Landfalls are being recorded more often, now. It’s going to take thousands of years before ‘Waterworld’, but like I said… you gotta stop thinking in calendar years…And ‘if’ Waterworld did happen, the world won’t come back from it, as the sun Will be bigger, not as small as it was, when this whole place was frozen, before the ‘thaw’, which then created the gorges snd rivers, etc.It will then be the fifth rock from the Suns turn…
ULEZ is supposed to be about reducing air pollution. However, as stated previously, if Khan was really serious about tackling air pollution he would simply ban all polluting vehicles. It has to be concluded that his primary aim is to raise money. Wrt climate change, the UK could take every vehicle off the road, cut off gas supplies to all homes/industry and close down all fossil fuelled power stations and it would have no discernible effect on global CO2 emissions.
Yep.. It takes up more room.. What happened to all the billions and billion of millions of gallons of water that used to cover the earth. most mountain ranges have evidence of sea life in fossil form... Thats a lot of water across the planet..

I'm with Chris Packham on this, this is a twinkle in the eye of earth time, but it's a chance for mankind to reach it's finist hour and rise to the occasion. But, after I've finished getting paint in my hair doing the underside of the van.
Im afraid Im becoming cynical in my old age: Improve air quality to improve life chances, quality of life and reduce deaths due to pollution - answer - impose a tax Reduce CO2 levels and green house gases - answer impose a whole raft of taxes and hike up the price of fuel who generally pays taxes - erm.... everyone but the rich who benefits from taxes - everyone but mostly the rich who is effected most by hiked up prices - inversely proportional how wealthy you are is air quality improved? (dunno - is there any data) is CO2 reduced (nope) So were achieving nothing but paying a lot to do so!
